We should not cry over the love we don’t have but we should cry about the love we can’t give. I have to move towards love and learn not to let it walk away from me. I must keep love in my heart and mind, all things are possible in God’s world, and in mine if I keep the Power in me, and not walk away from it.

I have a friend who always signs “In Love and Service” this is one of the most beautiful parts of the 12 step program, the process of learning how to become of service and to love without conditions. In the beginning it starts with others who become of service to us, carrying the principles of Unity, Service, and Recovery. When I let myself become a part of what was being offered, I started to see, that as I became willing to become a greeter, than making coffee, then cleaning up, and doing other things that were need to conduct the meetings, I became a part of, and started to make friendships. The miracle of recovery started to make it evident that a change started happening, I was finding a new way to live. As the months and years passed life grew, my circle of people, places, and things became larger, time pasted faster than ever, the concept of service, and unity, taught me how to work for purpose not for selfish intent. I started to understand that the tradition of attraction rather than promotion, it also started to reveal its purpose. All these things were possible, if I could just learn the principle of unconditional love. For me today the lesson of learning to be as loving as possible without judgment and expectations is really the only way I can carry a message to anyone. My heart has to be sincere and committed to be present; this is what my life has come to be. This is what I have learned in the concept of love and Service, my recovery depends on how to love you, and be there if someone needs help. Love can break hearts, but only love can heal broken hearts, I had to break to heal; healing is possible through the Grace of a true loving Power, which has healed me over, and over, again.
