My life for many years, was based on manipulation and lies. As a matter of fact, I was told over, and over, by my father; ” Never Let Your Right Hand  Know What Your Left Hand Is Doing”. This could have been good advice , but the way my mind processed it, was lie, be deceptive, manipulate, and you are not cheating, until your caught, and if you are, lie your way out. These are codes that I lived by most of my life, maybe some of you, can understand, when you have lived by these standards, most of your adult life, change does not come easy. Your sub-conscious embeds these characteristics deep inside your mind, and they become primary actions and thoughts.  This is why the habitual criminal, drug addict, alcoholic, keeps returning  to their old behavior, we are driven by unconscious thought, into conscious action, this happens to the point, that it becomes an obsession! These thoughts will over power any moral, any judgement, and any sense of what is right, or wrong, it just becomes our life. Once we process the sub-conscious thought into truth, we may never see, the true path to redeem ourselves.

It took a great deal of personal defeat, before I could admit, that all the lies and illusion, had come to the fork in the road. Either I had to surrender to win, or accept to die in my ignorance, of the truth. This was not achieved by myself, it came from men, and women, that came from the same place, that I had been. They came from all walks of life and stations, they were poor, rich, straight, gay, white, black, Latino, and many other social, and economic status, but we all shared a common bond. Our lies caught up with us an just “Kicked Our Ass”,  and beat us into a place where we ran out of options and ideas. This made most of us able hear some very basic information, on how to mend our broken and warped, sense of reality and truth. Years of behavior, changed by some simple truths, and learn the timeless principles of truth. Spiritual awareness, a God of your capability, and choice, live in the moment of light, and help and serve each other. This message has been here as long as man, but only works if you have the courage, to face yourself , and stop the lie, this is the action that creates the path to true knowledge, of purpose, and the correct intent in life. “Not everyone gets there, only those who are blessed with grace”.

Why is it so hard to remember the lessons of our past? After working with so many struggling people, who just can’t stop participating in the same things, which led them to the desperation that they experienced before. What I was taught is that this was the definition of insanity, doing the same things over and over, expecting different results. I knew I was insane, and still have bouts of directed insanity, but when I experience these moments, there are new things to do, that change the insane minutes. I personally believe that in some instances, insanity is useful tool, in those bouts of insane spaces great art, and innovations have been created. The challenge becomes change the insane to sane. How is this possible? I have learned that for me I had to reach for something, I didn’t understand, or comprehend, how that reaching, would teach me how to channel those moments of insanity. Learning how to stay STILL, wait patiently, breath, and meditate, on how powerful that moment can be. Trying to express this to someone, who is in the depth of their insanity, is a challenging and frustrating event. This is where I have to remember, my experience in trying to redirect my own mind and training my mind to search for serenity. I must always be diligent and aware that my mind is not just my enemy but also my friend, when it unites itself with the inner power of light! I can be free from misguided direction.
