I am not always prepared for what life brings me. There have been many ups and downs. However no matter what the circumstances may be, the only choice I have is to accept things as they are, and go with the flow. If things aren’t what I want them to be, I must take more action towards the solution. I do need to be aware of how I am moving towards what I am striving to achieve. My intetions of what I am trying to achieve must be based in truth and honesty, in their purpose of my wants. We are taught that we have to accept what God wants me to have, but I don’t think that what we want is out of line, with God’s, but only that my actions in trying to move towads those wants are misaligned. If fear, dishonesty, selfishness, and self seeking are sincerely reviewed, and self seeking is rooted in bettering our lives so that we can live a more purposeful and productive life, so we can better serve our fellows by not being a burdon, we are living in the spirit of the 7th tradition, to be fully self supporting on our own. Unfortunate that we can’t totally be selfless but we must live life on the terms that the world deems us to live by. We can be spiritual and still have wants that serve to better ourselves.
