It’s so easy to get caught up on the personalities in the rooms and over look why we’re there. I hear and I have said “This meeting is lacking, I need to go to another group.” I find that generally it’s my attitude that stinks. The program is in the book, the meetings have multi-purpose. The biggest one is for the new comers, but they also serve as a gathering place for us to find fellowship. I always have to ask myself when I become irritable and discontent with a meeting or group, am I practicing principles, or am I looking at personalities. We are groups of people that normally would not socialize but yet, here we gather. I must remember to not turn my back on the real purpose, which is to stay sober, and carry a message, and not always necessarily comfortable, simply because things don’t function the way I think they should.

We question everything in our search, and all we really want is to be loved, and most of us a…
