Action Is On Me

The beauty in the 10th step is that it makes me acutely aware of what my daily actions are and should be, and how to manage something that can become unmanageable, ME. Learning the vigilance is a continual awareness and challenge. Each day we as alcoholics interact with the world, we are presented with all our character defects as well. My problems stem from my reactions to others. Every morning my prayer starts with asking the Power to teach me how to have an attitude of love for my fellow man. I also ask that I am given the awareness to understand that we all share a common thread. It is so very easy to fall prey to the sickness of intolerance, judgement , and prodigious. The 11th step tells me that I must seek and find the Power of Spiritual Truth. The truths are embedded in the Pricipals of the 12 truths. The 12th step teaches me the path to grow in the awareness we seek, which is in the principles of love, tolerance, and service. This is where the action falls directly on me to remember this is where sobriety is only achieved through action.
