The Anchor

In my disease I had really no boundaries. It was fast, furious and dangerously teetering on fatal. I always say I was a suicide drinker, the way I drank was destructive and vicious. There was nothing holding me back or down. What AA has done for me is given me an anchor that holds me steady and tied to the mooring. The knowledge that the Principles have given me, keeps me anchored to the consciousness of a power greater than me. If your new and you are floundering in self abuse or abuse of others, work the steps and find the grounding. There is nothing more solid for an Alcoholic like me. Thanks for the 12 step call.
