I was told early on that this was a portable program. Through the years it has been exactly what they said, no matter where I am my program goes with me, and so do those men and women I carry in my heart. I have traveled a great deal in and out of this country, and have found meetings where ever I am, if I search them out. More than that, I always have the big book and other material, and with media as it is, I can access anything and anyone, no matter where I am. I always stress to anyone that is new and has fears of maybe moving from their home group, or has to be away for any given reason, that the fellowship is where they make it. My first commitment was as a greeter, I learned to stick my hand out and say my name and welcome, and this one lesson has helped me reestablish a fellowship, where ever I go. I have met and continue to have friendships with people from most places I have been. If there is a problem or situation, I know where to go. Those who have had time have followed the same path; I know I am not alone. The fact is that where I go you go with me, and for that I am eternally grateful. Thank you for making a twelve step call on me.
