STAYING IN THE MIDDLE

We say learn to stay in the middle of the herd. Being that our nature as alcoholics is to isolate, the tendency to move to the edges of our program, thus leaving us to the preying elements of our negative thinking. Depression and anxiety are a common part of us, two of the main reasons for us cultivating the spiritual side. The middle of our program lies in the unity of each other, without being a part of, I am left on my own thinking that puts me into possible insanity. When I reach out to help or be helped, my chances of staying sober are increased. I could never have achieved any longevity staying with the herd. Our survival as humans was not based on the strongest, but on the community of each other. Thank for the 12 step call.
