The word “action” is a very sacred word, it symbolizes movement, thus affecting change, either good or bad, which is dictated by choice. Choices are governed by thought and necessity, but what happens if my thoughts are overridden by an obsession, that renders me powerless to the choice I have to make. I then will proceed to do what ever it takes, to fulfill the purpose of that obsession, making it difficult to manage my affairs, unless that need is met first. This is the story of my life, always driven by the obsession to fulfill the need, before everything else in front of me. This is a great description of a “false idol”, one of the mentions in the Ten Commandments. It took a long time to understand this simple thing, that every time I placed something in front of the truth, of what the repercussions of making that choice was, it can and will put my life in a spin.

It doesn’t matter what the image of that looks like, it is still false, If I place it in front of that TRUTH. I have spent many hours, talking and sharing, with others, who like myself had been consumed, by the beast of their obsessions, and then finding grace, that helps too regain the most valuable of our possessions, our life.  It is the most humbling, and beautiful moment, when you realize that fact. It is the most incredible illumination, so subtle in nature, but so grandeur in moment. I have been witness to this transformation in myself and 100’s of others. When we place ourselves in the Light of spirit, and start to transform selfish, into usefulness, we gain dignity lost, shame diminished, esteem restored, a product of simple principles applied, this is the true definition of “ACTION” in it’s truest form. I am so indebted, to simple phrases like “Faith without works is dead” and “this is a spiritual program of action”  the keys to freedom for me.
