Sometimes taking actions on things that we need to change, can be an arduous task. Here is were the sin of sloth keeps us bound to our old ways, it seems easier to just procrastinate and utilize lazy attitudes. In the past I was a master at putting off things simply because it seemed to hard or the fear of the unknown, and how to adjust to looking at things from a different perspective. Fear of change is not wanting to deal with uncomfortable feelings that are brought about within the process of changing, it’s easier to wear the same thing I wore yesterday than to look for something different. We become complacent and stubborn, even if the situation is showing every indication that it needs to be changed. This is where learning that taking action and staying out of the results has played a big part in my life.
My learning that I really have nothing coming and that when I have expectations on the outcome of any given thing, I set myself up for disappointment, it also happens if I assume that you should do or think a certain way. Learning to trust spiritual principles, and applying them to every situation that presents itself, is the action to finding true peace. Realizing that the only power I have is the choices I make, and the actions I take. This has been and will always be the biggest challenge I have.
